Overview
The Falcon Group is seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Development Associate to support marketing outreach, regional research, event participation, proposal tracking, and CRM tracking across the Greater Tampa Bay region and Central Florida. This position will be working directly under and in coordination with the Florida region Business Development Manager as well as the National Director of Business Development. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, comfortable with in-person events, experienced in marketing tools and digital platforms, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Business Development Duties
  • Support marketing efforts across the Greater Tampa Bay area (Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton, Sarasota, and surrounding communities), extending south along the coast and eastward into Central Florida including Orlando and nearby markets.
  • Assist in gathering contact information and updating the CRM/database containing all relevant regional data.
  • Support marketing initiatives, including physical outreach such as dropping off The Falcon Group marketing materials to targeted communities and businesses; assisting with creation of marketing collateral (flyers, reference sheets, graphics, brochures, trifolds, presentations); providing digital marketing and social media support with consistent posting and engagement; and researching venues/event sites, obtaining pricing and catering options, and coordinating co-sponsor opportunities.
  • Conduct follow-ups for all marketing events and outreach activities, including CEU classes, sponsorships, panels, Lunch & Learns, expos, and after-hours networking events.
  • Create tracking spreadsheets and input follow-up data regularly.
  • Attend industry events such as expos, trade shows, Lunch & Learns, sponsorship engagements, and community panels.
  • Conduct market research by identifying competitor firms in assigned regions, reviewing competitor proposal examples where available (including pricing, scope, and structure), researching local organizations or neighborhood associations that host community events and tracking potential sponsorship or membership opportunities, and supporting development of new CEU class content by gathering current-event references, legislative updates, and topic-specific resources while ensuring DBPR compliance.
  • Manage Case Studies by reviewing, updating, and formatting content; collaborating with project teams to develop new Case Studies and RFP-specific materials; maintaining an organized library of references; ensuring all materials meet brand standards; and supporting additional content and proposal needs.

Administrative Duties
  • Assist with client database creation and data entry.
  • Track proposals and approvals, including follow-up with the regional director.
  • Support database management and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Assist with updating and coordinating office inventory (including communication with the Miami office for supplies).
  • Develop a working understanding of new client and proposal protocols and assist in follow-up with Project Administrators.

Estimated salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000. The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. The salary offered will vary based on experience, education, skills, abilities, and certifications/license

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent experience. Marketing degree preferable
Work Experience
  • 3+ years’ minimum experience required working for an Engineering, Construction or Property Management firm and/or a combination of related education and experience.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation software.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, or InDesign preferred.
  • Experience with ChatGPT or related AI applications.
  • Strong public speaking skills; experience with expos, trade shows, and board or community events.
  • Well-versed in current social media platforms, digital marketing trends, and online research.
  • Strong phone and communication skills; organized and responsive to instruction.
  • Willingness to travel to identify and document properties and HOA communities, distribute marketing materials, and collect business cards and contacts for networking purposes.
  • Ability to participate in in-person marketing events throughout the designated territories.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Travel required.
